Linear Cut Yield
Account for blade kerf when cutting repeated equal pieces.
Your numbers
Whole pieces
Counts kerf between pieces only; if separating leftover stock requires an extra cut, subtract that kerf from the remainder and check fit.

Formula
Use N = floor[(L+k)/(p+k)]. L is stock length, p is finished piece length, and k is saw kerf in the same unit. floor rounds down. This counts kerf between pieces; a final separation cut may need another kerf.

Scope and limitations
Counts kerf between pieces only; if separating leftover stock requires an extra cut, subtract that kerf from the remainder and check fit.
Inputs are checked for missing values and allowed ranges. A result outside the finite numeric range is not displayed. Rounding affects display, while the calculation uses the model’s numeric precision.
Check your units and assumptions before relying on a result. Changing a label does not convert a currency or physical unit.
