Board rows
Planning estimate from your measurements and assumptions. Confirm dimensions, product coverage and local installation requirements before buying.

Formula
Use N = ceil[(W+g)/(b+g)]. W is deck width, b is board width, and g is the gap, all in the same unit. ceil rounds up to board rows. Stock board count also accounts for length without reusing cut pieces.

Scope and limitations
Planning estimate from your measurements and assumptions. Confirm dimensions, product coverage and local installation requirements before buying.
Inputs are checked for missing values and allowed ranges. A result outside the finite numeric range is not displayed. Rounding affects display, while the calculation uses the model’s numeric precision.
Check your units and assumptions before relying on a result. Changing a label does not convert a currency or physical unit.
