Compare net volume with waste
Bars scale to larger of two volumes. Waste slice na extra you order on top of exact rectangular volume.
Order volume at different waste allowances
| Allowance for waste | Value wey e get |
|---|
Same length, width and depth; only waste allowance change. Use this to see how sensitive order be to allowance you pick.
Formula
Net volume = length × width × depth. Waste volume = net volume × waste rate. Volume to order = net volume × (1 + waste rate).
Example wey show the calculation
Length 10 m, width 4 m, depth 0.15 m: net volume = 10 × 4 × 0.15 = 6 m³. At 8% waste allowance, waste volume = 6.00 × 0.08 = 0.48 m³, so order volume = 6.48 m³ (228.84 ft³). These be example defaults above; replace dem with your own measurements.
Where e fit work and limits
This cover single rectangular pour only. Subgrade variation, reinforcement displacement, irregular shapes, sloped sections, supplier minimum loads and rounding to supplier ordering unit all fit change order. No price calculated: enter no price here, so compare supplier quotes against order volume yourself.
Questions wey people dey ask often
Why I need allowance for waste?
Because real pour rarely match exact rectangular volume: spillage, uneven subgrade and formwork gaps all dey consume extra concrete. Allowance na your buffer, no be supplier charge.
Wetin if my shape no be rectangle?
Split am into measured rectangles, calculate each one, and add net volumes before applying waste. Do not force irregular shape into one rectangle and hope waste allowance absorb difference.
How I go measure depth?
Measure finished slab thickness for several points and use value wey represent am. If depth dey vary plenty, split the pour into zones with different depths; no just average everything blindly.
This include supplier minimum load?
No. If your order below supplier minimum, supplier fit still charge for minimum. Check that before ordering, especially for small pours.
I fit convert result to cubic feet or litres?
Yes: 1 m³ = 35.3147 ft³ = 1,000 litres. Breakdown table dey show the order for all three units.
This tool go tell me concrete cost?
No price input dey for this page. Multiply order volume by the price per unit wey your supplier quote. Prices fit differ by mix, location and delivery terms.
