Estimate what an AI workflow tool is worth per month: hours saved across the team, valued at an hourly cost, minus the monthly tool fee.

| Item | Value |

Gross time value is hours saved times hourly cost. Net value subtracts the tool fee once, not per person.
Bars are scaled to the larger of gross value and fee. A fee bar taller than the gross-value bar means the tool does not pay for itself on time value alone.

Each row multiplies the monthly net value by the number of months, assuming the same usage and fee throughout. Setup or training costs are not included.
Monthly net value = people × monthly runs × minutes saved ÷ 60 × hourly cost − monthly tool fee. Hours saved = people × runs × minutes saved ÷ 60.
8 people, 20 runs each per month, 18 minutes saved per run, hourly cost $120, fee $999. Hours saved = 8 × 20 × 18 ÷ 60 = 48 hours. Gross value = 48 × $120 = $5,760. Net = $5,760 − $999 = $4,761 per month, or $595.13 per person. Over 12 months at the same usage that is $57,132, before any setup or training cost.
Time value is not automatically cash saved: valuing freed hours at full hourly cost overstates the benefit if the time is absorbed by other low-value work or idle time. Adoption rate, review and correction time, output quality, setup and training costs, and any per-seat pricing beyond the single fee input are not modeled. Minutes saved should come from timed before-and-after runs, not from vendor claims.
Hours saved are people times runs times minutes saved, divided by 60; gross value is hours times hourly cost; net value subtracts the monthly tool fee.
Only if the freed time is redeployed to billable or otherwise valuable work. If it is absorbed elsewhere, the value is capacity gained, not cash saved — set hourly cost to the value you actually recover.
This page takes a single monthly fee. If your plan charges per seat, enter the total monthly fee for the whole team, or divide: enter the per-seat fee times the team size as the fee.
Time the same task with and without the tool over several real runs, including review and correction time, and use the median saving — not the best single run.
Then the monthly net falls with it. Re-run the page with the actual run count after a month of real use instead of trusting the launch-month figure.
Setup, training, integration, data-cleaning, and quality-review costs, and any change in output quality. A tool that saves time but needs heavy correction may save less than the raw minutes suggest.
