| Scale | Value |

All three rows describe the same temperature. Values below absolute zero are rejected, not converted.
Convert the source temperature to Celsius, then apply the target scale's equation.
| Conversion | Formula |
|---|---|
| °F to °C | °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9 |
| °C to °F | °F = °C × 9/5 + 32 |
| °C to K | K = °C + 273.15 |
| K to °C | °C = K − 273.15 |
Absolute zero is 0 K = −273.15 °C = −459.67 °F. Any input that implies a negative Kelvin value is physically impossible and is rejected.
25 °C × 9/5 + 32 = 77 °F, and 25 + 273.15 = 298.15 K. The scales meet at −40: −40 × 9/5 + 32 = −40 °F.
Temperature differences are not the same as absolute temperatures: a rise of 1 °C equals a rise of 1 K but a rise of 1.8 °F. This page converts absolute temperatures, not differences. Display values are rounded to 6 decimal places. Rounding may affect the final displayed decimals, as the source tool noted.
0 K = −273.15 °C = −459.67 °F — the coldest possible temperature. This page rejects anything colder as invalid input.
Solving C = C × 9/5 + 32 gives C = −40, the only temperature with the same number on both scales.
Yes: water freezes at 0 °C = 32 °F = 273.15 K at standard atmospheric pressure.
For a difference, drop the +32/+273.15 offsets: 10 °C of warming = 18 °F of warming = 10 K of warming.
273.15 is the exact offset between the Celsius and Kelvin scales by definition of the kelvin.
