Parallel Capacitance
Combine ideal capacitors in parallel.

Equivalent capacitance
Idealized SI-unit educational model. Real components, tolerances, losses and safe operating limits require separate verification.
Scenario comparison
Up to three snapshots in this tab. Loading one replaces the current inputs.
Formula
Use Cₑ = ΣCᵢ. Each Cᵢ is a positive parallel capacitance in µF. Sum all entered values for equivalent capacitance Cₑ in the same unit.
Combine ideal capacitors in parallel.
Worked example
- Capacitor values (µF)
- 10, 20
- Equivalent capacitance
- 30 µF
Scope and limitations
Idealized SI-unit educational model. Real components, tolerances, losses and safe operating limits require separate verification.
Inputs are checked for missing values and allowed ranges. A result outside the finite numeric range is not displayed. Rounding affects display, while the calculation uses the model’s numeric precision.
Check your units and assumptions before relying on a result. Changing a label does not convert a currency or physical unit.
