One-Sample t Test
Compare a sample mean with a stated reference using a two-sided t test.
Your numbers
t statistic
Requires an appropriate independent-sampling model. A p-value does not measure the probability that the null hypothesis is true.
Scenario comparison
Up to three snapshots in this tab. Loading one replaces the current inputs.
Formula
Use t = (m−μ₀)/(s/√n) with df = n−1. m is sample mean, μ₀ is the null-hypothesis mean, s is sample standard deviation, and n is sample size. The displayed p-value is two-sided.

Scope and limitations
Requires an appropriate independent-sampling model. A p-value does not measure the probability that the null hypothesis is true.
Inputs are checked for missing values and allowed ranges. A result outside the finite numeric range is not displayed. Rounding affects display, while the calculation uses the model’s numeric precision.
Check your units and assumptions before relying on a result. Changing a label does not convert a currency or physical unit.
